According to a recent study published in the Telegraph 9 out of 10 employees believe that security is their employer’s responsibility when working remotely1. In addition, 42% of staff view security procedures as disruptive and counterproductive to working practices.
This should be particularly concerning during the current pandemic, when employers are allowing large numbers of their staff to work from home, often using private connections or even equipment. During the same time period, the number of phishing and cyber-crime attacks has increased significantly with banks2 and government agencies3 communications being utilised in particular.
It is therefore critical that businesses choose the right solutions to securely and effectively enable their staff to work remotely. Many companies are already well acquainted with Microsoft and its Office 365 Suite solutions but will need help in getting the most out of the remote storage solutions and with the optimal configuration of the sophisticated security management solutions governing remote working.
